"Appromood" (short for "App Reporting on Mood") allows everyone to report their mood from time to time with the use of their smart phone.  

All the moods are recorded and stamped with a user's location.  Every hour the current mood of the United States is re-charted for all to see and is based on 5 color coded icons ranging from lighter to darker colors which represent happier to sadder moods.  Using Appromood Map of the United States and each individual state, the viewer can tell at once the mood of specific locations throughout the United States.

Every hour at the top of the hour, the last 10000 reported moods from across the country are accessed so that 51 maps are generated.  There is one map for the entire United States, and 50 state maps.

At the top of each map a drop down menu allows the user to access any state map which will show the mood of the state.

Please enter your mood from time to time during the day.  Appromood works very quickly to report your mood to the Appromood Server and maps are updated every hour with the 10,000 most recent moods reported.

Appromood is available in the Android Market Place using the "Android Market App" on your phone.  It is not recommend that the phone be used as a device to view the mood maps.  Rather any modern browser on any computer can view the up to the hour mood of the country by using the link above.  Bookmark it now!

In order for Appromood, or any of our APPRO(tm) ("APP Reporting On") apps to work on your phone, you must have enabled either your GPS feature, or Network Location feature of the phone.  In addition our APPRO apps transmit only the time of day, your current location (as latitude and longitude) and your mood to our Appromood Server.  The requirements your phone needs in order to run Appromood are reported when you install the App.
